Catering Info
General Guidelines
Food prepared by the Jubilee
Queen is cooked fresh onboard by our chefs and is considered to be some of
the best tasting food in the harbour.
If your guests prefer a style of food that our chefs are unfamiliar with we
would be happy to work with your own outside caterer.
When using your own caterer there is an outside catering charge of $10 per
person + gratuity and tax. (Minimum 100 guests)
No outside drink is allowed onboard, even with the outside catering charge.
This includes but is not limited to: Pop, water, juice and alcohol.
Outside catering fee
The Jubilee Queen outside catering fee covers off the following items:
1- Table bussing
2- Garbage disposal
3- White table cloths
4- Blue napkins
5- Cutlery: forks, spoons and knives
6- Dinner plates
7- Dessert plates
8- Plate & Cutlery washing
9- Vessel cleaning
· Napkins, cutlery and plates are limited to amount onboard the Jubilee
Queen.
Outside Caterer Requirements
When using your own caterer we require the following from the catering
company.
1- They must have been inspected and passed by the Health Board of Ontario
2- Staff from the catering company must be on the cruise to set-up and serve
the food. Staff should be aboard no less than 30 minutes prior to guest
boarding time.
3- One or more of the onsite staff must have Food Safety Training as
required by the Ontario Ministry of Health
4- Your caterer must bring with them all items required to carry out the
service. (i.e. Chafing Dishes / inserts / sterno, Serving Utensils, salad
tongs, hot boxes, coolers, bowls …)
5- Liability insurance
6- Caterer must provide sufficient food for the amount guests onboard as
well as enough food for the Jubilee Queen staff onboard that night.
7- Either the catering company or client is required to display a sign (8 ½"
x 11”) on
the buffet table with the catering companies name and contact number as well
as a note indicating that all food has been outside catered by this company
which is in no way affiliated with the Jubilee Queen.
· Caterer must provide all documentation for health and safety requirements
to the Jubilee Queen office at least 7 days prior to the event.
· As a licensed establishment no outside alcohol can be brought onboard,
even for cooking.
· The Jubilee Queen kitchens will not be accessible to the caterer on the
day of the event. All food must come onboard hot and ready to serve. Should
use of the Jubilee Queen kitchens be required by your caterer to reheat
items, there will be an additional cost of $275 to arrange for one of our
chefs to be onsite to supervise.
