About Fathers Day
For those of you asking, when is Fathers Day? Fathers Day
is on the Third Sunday in June.
The first person to bring forward the idea of celebrating
Fathers day in North American was Ms. Sonora Dodd in Washing State. She put
forward the idea in church during a Mothers Day sermon. A few years
later in July of 1908 the first Fathers Day church service was celebrated in
Fairmont West Virginia. The first official public celebration was on Sunday
June 19th, 1910 in Spokane Washington.
