Sparkler Safety
Sparklers have have been a traditional means of celebration for year. It's
important however to teach our children how to use them safely in order to
prevent needless injuries.
You should instruct your children to stand at least 6 feet away from others
when using a sparkler and to keep them at least arms length away from their
bodies. It is also extremely important that you closely supervise your
children while using them and remind them not to run around while holding
the sparklers.
Also keep in mind....
1- Never hand a lit sparkler to someone else
2- Never light more them one sparkler at a time
3- Never throw sparklers
4- Gloves are also a great idea when handling sparklers
5- Never let your children have more them one at a time
Many people will argue about the minimum age of a child to safely use them
however most agree that they should be at least 5 to 10 years of age.
When the sparkler fire goes out it is important to have somewhere safe to
place them. Before even lighting your first sparkler, make sure you have a
bucket of water handy and get your children to place them in the bucket as
soon as they go out.

them with water, do not try to relight them

fireworks total height. Make sure they are in there firmly and that they are
pointed straight up and there are no obstacles above. Never let fireworks
off while holding them.
